Al when reacted with aq. NaOH H2 gas is released and the product formed would be=> NaAlO2.
Further NaAlO2’s aqueous form is then reacted with CO2 gas and thus forms Na2CO3 and Aluminium Hydrooxide perhaps.
Hence, x = Al
y = NaAlO2
and
z = Al(OH)3
