Hello Student
Melting point highly depends on the number of unpaired electrons. Higher the number of unpaired electrons higher would be the melting point. Melting point increases down the group as we move from N to As as these elements have tendency to involve electrons from both s and p orbitals in bonding but as we move further down the group from Sb to Bi the s orbital electrons are not involved in bonding due to weak shielding effect of d orbitals and thus the melting point decreases.
