from gallium to thallium there is addition of a full d-orbital. this orbital has got poor shieding effects as compared to other orbitals. since there is also increasing atomic number and atomic radius, the d-orbital will not shied well the outer s and p orbitals hence are strongly attractes by the nucleus. this inesence increases the metallic character from gallium to thallium hence, increased melting points. in that trend.
