Answer ::

It is used be because the high level of heat that is produced in atomic hydrogen welding is high enough to be able to melt and weld tungsten, which can be the hardest metal to weld.

Atomic hydrogen atoms when allowed to recombine on the surface to be welded generates a temperature about 4000K.So dihydrogen used in welding of high melting metals.
