Dear Sonu
A calomel electrode is used more effectively than any other electrode for experimental setup at smaller scale due to its easy preparation. The easily preparation is subjected to its less cost, easy availability of chemical as mercury, mercurous chloride and potassium chloride. Most importantly its application in determining the extent of corrosion in various metals makes it a important electrode.
