Noble gases are those elements with configuration with ns2, np6 in valence shell. Due to their electronic shell saturation, they have low chemical reactivity and do not have affinity for new bond formation.(not affected by chemical bonding)

These elements of the 18th group are also called noble elements or rare elements.
