chromium +3 is more stable . the reason is below
1- the ground state config of cr is Ar 3d5 4s1 , and once it had attended config of +3 , its configuration will become . Ar 3d3
this makes it half filled stable in t2g level .
half filled t2g state is more stable than d5 config .
so, cr is more stable in its d3 state .
