Which bond is more stronger ionic or covalent?and if ionic than why more polar covalent bonds are lower in thermal stability instead of having more ionic character??

Ionic bond is stronger than covalent even if it is polar one. The reason is ionic bond is formed by complete transfer of one or more electron by release relatively more energy. But In covalent bond the electron or electrons remains with the atom even In a polar bond and there relatively less release of energy
