When we are using electronegativity in pauling scale then 50% of ionic character is appear when the electronegativity difference is 2.1 this can be proved by henny smith equation this I can also understand But what I cant get is that when we are using mulliken scale of electronegativity then 50% of ionic character is appear when the electronegativity difference is 1.7. Can someone please prove this statement??

this can not be proved bcoz these are the reference values according to the different scientist. basically electronegativity is a reference term with respect to the other atom attached
