A) Aluminium dissolves in NaOH forms soluble complex and liberates hydrogen gas.
2Al + 2NaOH + 6H2O → 2Na+[Al(OH)4-] + 3H2
B) Aluminium evolves hydrogen gas when heated with dil.HCl
2Al + 6HCl → 2AlCl+ 3H2
