Low heat of atomization simply means the dissociation of each and every atom or element in the molecule or in the compound. The energy is called the atomization energy.
And the Reason for the high reactivity of alkali metals is that all alkali metals have one electron in the valence shell and hence on going further dow in the group and oon donating one electron it attains the charge +1.
Down the group no. of shells increases
