Oxocation/Oxycation-An oxycation is a polyatomic ion with a positive charge that contains oxygen.Ex-NO+,O₂^+
In simple words oxoanion are the compound having negative charge oxygen whereas oxoanion are the compound having negative charge ion.

Oxyanion/ Oxoanion – An oxyanion is an anion containing oxygen.
Examples: Nitrate (NO3-), Nitrite (NO2-), sulfite (SO32-) and hypochlorite (ClO-) are all oxyanions.
