What elements dont form Carbides? Why they dont form carbides? What elements dont form Carbides? Why they dont form carbides?
@ vishal , generally carbides are composed of highly electropositive elements such as alkali metals , alkaline earth metals , etc . aluminium from group 13 will form carbides , but gallium , indium , and thallium will not form carbides . REASON – CARBIDE is actually composed of carbon and a less electronegativity element , but these element will not react with carbon in its primitive state , thats the reason they cannot form carbides in normal skeletal state . but aluminium can . so, it forms carbide . HOPE IT CLEARS TO YOU NOW ALL THE BEST ..
