question mark

Two flasks of equal volume are connected by a narrow tube (of negligible volume ) all at 27 degrees Celsius and contain 0.70 moles H2 at 0.5 atm . One of the flask is then immersed into a bath kept at 127 degrees Celsius. Find number of moles of H2 in the flasks.

@ sudarshan
i can give u the way to approach these question . its a very good ques actually .
initially   the total moles are = 70 .
and the temp are 27 degree at the two pipes .
so, acc to the ques
n1+n2 = 70
pv = nrt .
apply this equation for both separatrely and u will get n1 and n2 ..
initially both have same no of moles = 35 moles in each .
so, for container frst = p1v1 / n1t1 = p2v2/n2t2 .
p1 – pressure ( final )
v1 – volume (final )
so, n1t1 = n2t2 .
HOPE U CAN SOLVE IT NOW
IF NOT THEN LET ME KNOW I WILL SOLVE FULLY .
ALL THE BEST ..
