the variation of the boiling points of the hydrogen haildes is in the order HF>HI>HBr>HCl
What explains the higher boiling point of the hydrogeen fluoride
a)the bond energy HF is greater than other hydrogen halides
b)the effect of nuclear shielding is much reduced in fluorine which polarises the HF molecule

Hello christopher
Due to the hydrogen bonding only HF molecule boiling point is very high than that of the corresponding elements of the same group
ie option D
