structure if K[PtCl3 C2H4] and hybridisation of pt in it?
options:
  1. square planar, sp2d2
  2. square planar, dsp2
  3. tetrahedral, sp3
  4. octahedral, d2sp3
as per my knowledge about it , cl is a weak field ligand and so do not support pairing of electrons.
also platinum’s configuration is [Xe] 4f14 5d9 6s1
so it should be tetrahedral as inner d orbital isn’t available.

Dear student

Platinum belongs to 5d series and because of the increase in size metals of 4d and 5d forms square planar complexes in coordination number equal to 4, irrespective of the ligand.
