SnCl2 gives white precipitate with HgCl2 which turns grey later on, but SnCl2 doesn`t. Explain why?

This question needs an edit. 
As the question is asking about the SnCl2 itself as it has been already delcared about the compund that it is giving 
white precipitate with HgCl2 which turns grey later on.
