Cl2  ------------------->           Cl+x             +         Cl-y
From 
6 moles of Cl2                 = 6 moles               =6 moles.
Now given moles are 10 for each.
Hence new oxidation state would be =>  10-6 and 6-10 respectively.
That is +4 and -4
Hence the Oxidation states would be perhaps => Cl4+ and Cl4-
