Here, we are not talking about hydration enthalpy. That obviously will be decreasing as we go down the group with the increasing size of the cation.
But what we should notice that with the increasing size lattice enthalpy is also decreasing.
What i meant to say with the size mismatch was 2 Li+ cations taken together are almost the same size as carbonates or sulphates. But as we go down bigger cations taken 2 at a time mismatch the size and thus increase the solubility.
