Over here we are having 2 in front of K because S needs 2 electrons to complete it’s octet (Valency = 2) whereas 1 K can provide only 1 electron (valency = 1) thus in order for bond formation there should be 2 K.
Formula = K S

On cross multiplication,we get = K2S
