Statement 2 is true.
And the statement 2 is the correct explanation of Statement 1.
Both have same number of elctrons and therefore have same Bond order that is equal to => 2.

Ans 2 Statement 1 and 2 both are true but its not the correct explanation because two molecules with the same bond order can have different no. of electonsFor example - C2 and O2
