First find the structure of Fe3O4 . In a Fe3O4 molecule 1Fe atom forms two single bond with 2 O atom.                                                                                            While the other 2 Fe atoms have 3 single bond with 3 O atom                                                                  So the former Fe atom has oxidation+2. And    the latter 2 Fe atom has oxidation no. +3 . So the correct answer is (a)
