the total no of sigma bond in p4o10 is 16 . 
and it comes from the structure , imagine each p atom at the end of the squares , with each p atom linked to the adjacent p atom via a o atom , and all the bonds are sigma bonds . and each p atom have an additional double bond with anathor o atom , so, in total we have 4 p atom and 10 oxygen atom . 
and all their valency are satisfied ,
