Ni (co)4 is diamagnetic. But if splitting of d orbitals is considered, it becomes paramagnetic. Pl explain.

Due to the energy distribution and the spinning of the electrons in the orbitals.
Therfore,  Ni (co)4 is diamagnetic. But if splitting of d orbitals is considered, it becomes paramagnetic.
