Bismuth is a white crystalline brittle metal with a pink tinge. The electrical resistance is the highest and also Hall Effect is highest in comparison to all metals. Due to the expansion property it is suitable for making sharp casts or making low melting solders and alloys.

If you take copper cadmium or zinc they are suitable for safety fuses, so the metal M here is Bismuth.
