its a imp point to note 
 Bond length is also effected by the overlap of the two orbitals, the more overlap the shorter the bond length.
in the pi bond , u knows that the overlapping is weaker and less than the sigma bond , 
due to that , as a inverse relationship exist between overlapping and bond length , we can say pi bond length is greater than sigma bond .
