Homolytic cleavage where two shared electrons one from each atom goes back to the parent atom after the cleavage and Heterolytic one where the pair of electron goes to the atom which possess higher electro negativity We can also conclude that generally in homolytic cleavages the electronegativies of both the bonded atoms is almost same or equal while in the latter type there`s always a difference in electronegativies and the atom with more electro negativity has more power to snatch the electron pair
