Let the formula of metal chloride is MXⁿ the mass of metal chloride is y +n(35.5) = x, then equivalenant weight of metal is y/n and equal to (x/n )-35.5. Hope it clears. If still u have doubts then please clarify. If u like answer then please approve the answer.
