In [Co(CN)6]3- complex the Co is in +3 oxidation state. So the last shell electronic configuration of Co +3 is 3d6 and the Ligand CN is a strong ligand so pairing up of 3d electrons will occur. This pairing occurs because presence of strong field ligand. Now we see the last two orbit of 3d are empty and also 4s and 4p of Co+3 are vacant then start to fill the 12 electrons given by 6 ligands. Then these electrons fill last two vacant orbit of 3d ,4s orbital and 4p orbital completely. So the hybridisation is d2sp3.
