Dear student,

The energy lost by atom in emiting photon of given wavelenght=\dfrac{hc}{\lambda}=2.55eV
Hence the electron must be in the fourth shell with total energy of -0.85eV and kinetic energy of 0.85eV and finally dropped to the second shell with energy -3.4eV and kinetic energy 3.4eV to release photon with energy equal to --0.85eV-(-3.4eV)=2.55eV
