I think(?) there is no formula to calculate the same, however following method can be followed- 1. Arrange the ligands as per convenience to get 1st isomer. 2. Now note down the pairs of trans-ligands separately, You will get 3 such pairs. 3. For each pair of trans -ligands interchange the pair of cis-ligands. Note the structures with respect to trans-ligands, if they are different then these will be geometric isomers. 4. Look for the mirror plane symmetry among the isomers. If no such plane then these will be enantiomers. 5. If complex has bidentet ligand just see the their ends are at cis-position of octahedron. Hope this will serve..
