How can we determine which elements undergo hybridisation in ground state?

Hey so here is the answer we can do that by just watching the no. Of unpaired electrons in the given atom\molecule and if its enough to pair with the given molecule than it would be hybridised in its ground state only and if not u have to make the exited state and than do the hybridisation ....
