Give the electrochemical mechanism of etching of copper using ferric chloride solution.give the reaction and explain product formed?

Reaction of etching of copper using ferric chloride solution:
 
Cu + FeCl3    ---------------->>>         No reaction.
As  Ferric (iron) is above the spectrochemical series than copper.
so therfore Copper can never replace Iron i the above soln.
