        During salt analysis of basic radical. When we try to find group 1 analysis( for e.g. pb) we put hcl to make precipitate . And in group 3 analysis we use the concept of common ion effect. But if in group 1 analysis if we have to find the presence of pb2+ ion in salt pbcl2 then what is the use of hcl.  Explain it in 30 -40 words.

U need to knw that the zero group elemnets possessing the cationic charges includes
Pb2= Hg2^2+ and HCl too doesnot gives the ppt with the alkaline soln.
This is the way of determing the presence of Pb2+.
