does o2 molecule require more energy for removing an electron than oxygen atom?
yes O2 molecule require much energy to remove an electron from it than O ATOM.BecauseO2 is a molecule, two atoms combine to give a molecule by loosing some energy in bond formation.now energy is less which is stable compare to one oxygen atom so it require more energy to loose an electron than oxygen atom even though it is more electonegative.
