Non-biodegradable waste comprises those materilas that can not be broken down or decomposed and they remain in their original form for a long time. For examples-plastics,styrofoam,,chemical pesticides and thermocol etc.Such wastes cause adverse effect on environment. The gases produced are extremely harmful. It is found that when plastic materials burn they can produce highly toxic gases such as carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide and hydrogen chloride (particularly from PVC and other plastics containing chlorine and nitrogen).Such plastics not only pollute air but also choke up soils and animals that consume them.
