ROLE OF CRYOLITE IN METTALURGY OF ALUMINIUM .
1- cryolite lower the melting point of alumina from 2323 K to 1140 K
2- it functions as a solvent for alumina
3- it reduce the cost of the process
4- the melt of alumina and cryolite conduct electricity ,
