Consider the group state of cr atom z=24 the no.s of electrons with azimuthal quantams nos.l=1 and 2 are respwctively

Sol.    = 1 p and  = 2 for d.

        Now Cr has configuration

        1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s² 3p⁶ 3d⁵ 4s¹

        Hence there are 12, p-electrons and 5, d-electrons
