SiCl4 and SnCl4 act as Lewis acids. This is because they can extend their coordination number
beyond four due to the presence of vacant d-orbitals in the valance shell.

sicl4 and sncl4 are acts as a lewis acids because it has vacant d orbitals.but ccl4 has no vacant d orbitals.this is the reason for ccl4 not act as the lewis acid.
