The first ionisation energy will decrease as you will move down the group .
REASON
1- ionisation energy is governed by charge of nucleaus .
2- the amount of screening by the inner electrons ,
3- the distance between the outer electrons and the nucleaus .
As u will move down the group , the increase in the nuclear charge is exactly offset by the increase in the number of inner electrons .
here , the outer electrons feel a net attraction of 1+ from the center ,
as we go down the group , the distance between the nucleaus and the outer electrons increase so, they become easier to remove ,
thatswhy the frst ionisation energy fails .
