CaC2 + N2 =====> C + CaCN2

when N2 gets reacted with CaC2 then the products formed are Carbon plus CalciumCN2.

When nitrogen comes in contact with calcium carbamide at 1000ºC - 1100ºC temperature, a mixture of calcium cyanamide and black colored carbon is produced. it is used as inorganic nitrogen-containing fertilizer. This mixture is called nitrolim.
