In case of CH4 and SiH4 bond angle of CH4 is more than SiH4 coz, in between C and Si, C has more electronegativity as compared to silicon so..it attracts more electron towards it. And increases the bond angle!!

Bond angle is determined by several factors. Sequentially they are as follows:-
  1. Hybridisation
  2. No of lone pairs
  3. Electronegativity of central atom
  4. Electronegativity of terminal atom
  5. Bond order
Now,
  • Hybridisation of both CH& SiHare same ---> sp
  • Both CH& SiHhave zero lone pairs
  • Now u guys might be thinking eelectronegativity of C > electronegativity of Si ... So definitely bond angle of CH4 > Bond angle of SiH4 . But this is not the case. The factor "electronegativity of central atom" works only when there is at leat one lp on the central atom.
Hence bond angle of CHand SiHare same !!
