In BF3,thereis back bonding in between fluorinc and boron due to presence of p-orbital in boron. back bonding imparts doublebond characteristics. As BF3forms adjuct theback bonding is no longer present and thus double bond characteristic disappears. Hence, bond becomes a bit longer than earlier ( 1.30Å). the-bond-length-is-30-when-is-bf3-is-allowed-to-be-treated-withe-me3n-it-forms-an-adduct
