at low pressure , the van der walls equation will deviate from its original form , 
in that case v is large and b is negligible , in comparison with V . 
the equation will reduce to 
(P+a/vsquare )V = RT 
PV+ a/V = RT 
PV = RT – a/V OR PV
this accounts for the dip in PV vs P isotherm at low pressure .
