Answer :

Even though aluminum is a highly reactive metal, it is still used for making vessels and crockery because when it is exposed to air, it gets oxidised and develops a protective layer of aluminum oxide over it. This layer is called protective as it cuts the further contact of aluminium metal with the atmosphere( which contains oxygen and water vapour which are necessities for a metal to get oxidised). Hence, no further aluminium metal is oxidised and hence used for making vessels and crockery.
