Molar mass of CaOCl2= 143 g
Number of moles in 50 gm sample ofCaOCl2 = 50/143 =0.35 mole.
Reaction: CaOCl2+ CO2-->CaCO3+ Cl2
It is clear from the reaction that one mole Cl2 is produced from one mole CaOCl2
i.e. 1 moleCaOCl2= 1 moleCl2
so, 0.35 moleCaOCl2 = 0.35 mole Cl2
At STP, 1 mole Cl2 = 22.4 L
so, 0.35 mole = 22.4 x 0.35 = 7.83 L
