Is carbon monoxide a lewis acid?

According to the Bronsted - Lowry Theory:

Lewis acids are donators of electron pairs
Lewis bases are acceptors of electron pairs

CO has two electron pairs to donate
If you look into example of CO with BF3 you can see that CO is forming a coordinate bond with BF3 that means CO is donating its electron to BF3 and make itself a lewis acid


PS:[A coordinate covalent bond is one where both electrons to be shared come from the same atom]
