volume of air required to oxidise 210ml sulphur dioxide to sulphur trioxide , if air has 21% oxygen=

                        2SO2           +           O2            ------->             2SO3

                        210 gm                 0.21 ''a'' gm

                        210/(64 x 2)  =   0.21a/(32 x 1)

                      AfTER solving x  comes =  250 ml.

Thus it volume of air required to oxidise 210ml sulphur dioxide is 250 ml.

The equation for the following question is as follows:-SO2 +1/2O2 -----> SO3Therefore 1:1/2(21/100)*x = 210/2After solving x we get,x = 500ml
