can cations be ligands it it is not possible cuz they have negative charge right slight doubt pls clarify

 yes they cannnot act as ligand

cations can act as ligands ex no+, cations carry +ve charge ,not negative.

nitrosyl---- NO+ and ropylium -- C7H7+... are examples of cationic legand..
