Does inert pair effect depend on the the number of electrons in "d" and "f" inner core orbitals? I mean if the inner core orbitals are completely filled, they do not shield . And when they are incompletely filled, they shield. Is this correct? Please explain - Regards -HomiA12 batch

THE INERT PAIR EFFECT OF d or f ORBITAL INCREASES WHEN THE ORBITALS AREHALF OR FULL FILLED...BECAUSE HALF FILLED OR FULL FILLED ORBITALS ARE MOST STABLE.....
